About The Foundation
April Crowther
A Legacy of Love, Inclusion, and Opportunity
The April Crowther Foundation was established to honor the life and legacy of April Crowther, beloved sister, daughter, and friend. April had a natural gift for connecting with people, especially children and individuals with special needs. Her compassion and advocacy continue to inspire the mission we carry forward today.
Our focus is on celebrating the joy April brought to others, the inclusion she championed, and the meaningful impact her legacy creates for families and communities.
Our Initiatives
Autism & Special Needs Education
We support programs that enhance education, advocacy, and inclusion for autistic individuals and children with special needs, reflecting April’s passion and our family’s commitment to acceptance.
Essential Resources for Children & Families
Access to food, shelter, and education is a foundational right. We direct resources to underserved families to help provide stability, dignity, and opportunity.
Educational Pathways & Workforce Development
Education was our bridge to freedom growing up in an underprivileged community. Today, we help build similar bridges through partnerships:
- P-TECH
- Early College High Schools
- Dallas ISD
- Grand Prairie ISD
- Desoto ISD
- UTA Construction Management
We empower students to pursue careers, including in construction, that lead to long-term growth and generational impact.
Where We Serve
Join the Legacy
We invite you to partner with the April Crowther Foundation to promote equality in autistic communities and support children with special needs through access to food, shelter, and education, while also advancing educational opportunities in underprivileged areas.
